Do I need renter’s insurance? I own my own condo and am renting it out to tenant.?
Some people say I do, but upon research it seems tenant insurance is for the renter. I don’t have my personal belongings in there, it’s the tenant’s. The only thing I own is the unit.

If you have home owners insurance you really should call them and ask them if you need to carry a special insurance just for renters.If something were to happen then you would be responsible for the renters stuff. And some renters tend to stretch the truth as to what they had in a place when there is damage done to it.Better safe than sorry
